Betty A. Hack, 96, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Danville, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Goodall) Brent. On Aug. 30, 1938, she married Walter C. Hack who preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1982. They shared a marital union of 44 years.
Betty was a homemaker and dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children. In later years, she worked for the Old Dutch Bakery and for Brown's Catering, both in Danville.
She was a member of St. Paul's Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Danville.
Betty's family will remember the joy she experienced in reading, vegetable and flower gardening, and canning hundreds of jars of fruits, vegetables and jellies. She also enjoyed doing word puzzles. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored, brought her much happiness throughout her life.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Clark W. and Ruth Ann Hack of Danville, John E. and Betsy Hack of Danville and Robert James and Shirley E. Hack of Bloomsburg; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol A. Jones of Danville, Nancy K. and Jack Blosky of Perkasie, Mary Lou and Larry McMichael of Danville, and Linda M. Ammerman of Bloomsburg; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Raymond, Frank and Robert; and two sons-in-law, Donald Jones and Harold Ammerman.

Friends and relatives will be received from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Visneski Funeral Home Inc., 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11:30, with the Rev. Howard Woodruff officiating.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 15829.
