Carl Kmiecinski, 92, of Danville, passed away in Bonita Springs, Fla., on July 16, 2018.
He was born Oct. 19, 1925, in Danville, Pa., a son of the late Valentine H. Kmiecinski and Susan Grausam. On April 11, 1950, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, he married the former Margaret Ann "Peggy" Rhodes) Kmiecinski. They lived at 208 Center Street, Danville since Labor Day in 1951.
Carl was a 1943 graduate of Danville Area High School.
He worked in many professional capacities, including the Danville State Hospital.
His winter home was in Bonita Springs where he lived with his late wife, Peggy and late daughter, Ann Louise. Over the years he traveled to all 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Ireland, nine countries in Europe, and spent a month in Portugal and Spain for his 50th anniversary.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Barry Loreman of Mechanicsburg; one granddaughter, Sarah Loreman Snyder and husband Tim of Carlisle; four great-grandsons, Tyler, Sean, Jason, and Sam; and one nephew, Michael Rhoades of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy and daughter, Ann Louise in 2017.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, 68 Center St., Danville, with his pastor, the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Their will be no viewing or visitation prior to the service.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Danville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brady Funeral Home Inc., Danville.
