Clarence J. Leiby
Clarence J. "Biscuits" Leiby, 87, of Danville, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Danville, a son of the late Alma (Mutzabaugh) Leiby who passed shortly after his birth, and Clarence A. Leiby who later married Violet (Haas) Leiby.

Clarence proudly served in the Army as a parachute jumper and radio operator. After his service, he returned to Danville and married Elizabeth "Liz" A. (Tanner) Leiby, and they were married for 57 loving years.
He was employed by TRW for more than 37 years.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 40 of Danville and St. Paul Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and a lifelong active member with Southside and Friendship Fire companies and ambulance services.
Clarence was a consummate outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He traveled all over in motorhomes with his First Mate, wife Liz and the Good Sam Club Chapter 30 of Line Mountain. He was also a fan of racing. He loved to watch NASCAR and rebuilt a 1949 Ford to race at the drag strip in Kreamer.

In addition to his wife, Liz Leiby of Danville, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Jane Leiby of Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Stephen Senderovitz of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Brady Funeral Home, 448 Church St., Danville, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, with his pastor, the Rev. Greg Molter officiating.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, with military honors accorded by American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 417 Pine St., Danville, PA 17821.
