Dana Duaine Bundy, 69, of Danville, passed away on Feb. 13, 2017, at his home in Liberty Township.
He was born Nov. 8, 1947, in Sharon, a son of the late Ernest and Loretta (Wagner) Bundy.
After graduating from high school in Transfer, he joined the Navy, proudly serving in the Vietnam War.
He was an electrician and also worked in maintenance positions at companies such as Zenith, Watsontown, Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, Roselyn Yarns, Cabinet Industries and most recently at the Hampton Inn, retiring in 2008.
Dana was a member of the American Legion Post 40, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former governor of the Moose and was a member of the Danville Fire Police. He also served as a former president of the Friendship Fire Company and belonged to the Continental Fire Company, Washies Fire Company, the Goodwill, and the East End Fire Company.
Dana loved fishing with Bertha, playing golf with his father, bowling at the Moose, and hunting, as well as playing Solitaire.
He was married to his beloved, devoted wife, the former Bertha Mae Straub. He always took care of Bertha, and today they would have been celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Allen Bundy, Stephen Spandits and Ernest Bundy Jr.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and John James.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Bundy; and one sister, Sheila Spandits.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at noon, with the Rev. Trevor Hahn officiating.
Burial will take place in Transfer.
