Edna Mae Geary Edna Mae Geary, 75, of Rush Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Emmanuel Nursing Center, where she was a resident for the last eight months.

She was born July 1, 1943, in Coal Township, a daughter of the late Harry and Mae (Reitz) Cox. She married Robert J. Geary and they spent 47 loving years together.

Edna graduated from Coal Township High School. She worked at Geisinger Hospital, IBM Processing, and later at Weis Markets.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Shamokin for more than 50 years. Edna later attended Rush Baptist Church.

She enjoyed cross stitching and doing puzzles. She also took great joy in spending time with her grandsons.

In addition to her husband Robert she is survived by a daughter, Wendy Leine and husband Jeff, of New Jersey; grandsons, Luke and Nathan; a brother, Robert Cox and wife Sandra, of Sunbury; brother-in-law, David Geary, of Danville; sisters-in-law, Miriam E. Paul, of Maryland and Pat Burlone and husband Nick, of Danville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Ellen Woodruff.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Rush Baptist Church, 410 Rushtown Road, Danville, with Rev. Hugh Coulbourn officiating. Friends are invited to a viewing at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. John's "Voughts" Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mayberry Township.

The family will provide flowers.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Edna to Rush Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
