Eleanor M. Heller, 94, of Danville, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 28, 2018.
She was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Pittston, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Gorko) Sewatsky. She married Earl A. Heller, who preceded her in death. They spent 60 loving years of marriage together and were rarely seen apart.
Eleanor worked as an registered nurse at the Danville State Hospital for 15 years and later at Geisinger Medical Center in orthopedics.
She was very crafty and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Known for her creativity, she created many elaborate, trophy winning Halloween costumes for her grandsons. She loved playing Solitaire into the early hours of the morning with her beloved family.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Earl A.II and Monica Heller of New Jersey; two grandsons, Earl B. Heller and Sean Heller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Wall.
Friends will be received from 10 to 10:45 A.m. Tuesday in St. Hubert Chapel, located in the annex of St. Joseph Church, 18 Center St., Danville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11, with the Rev. Patrick Devine as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
