Emerson's Story

Emerson L. "Bud" Faust, 87, of Danville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1930, in Danville, a son of the late Roscoe A. and Mary Elsie (Everett) Faust.

Bud graduated from Danville High School. He served his country in the Air Force as a Sergeant Airman 1st Class from November 1948 until September 1952. He trained at Lackland Air Force Base and was stationed in England and Savannah, Ga.
Prior to entering the service he worked at the Danville Silk Mill. After returning from the Air Force, he worked for the highway department painting lines and bridges. He later joined First National Bank of Danville in 1955 and retired in 1992 after serving as an assistant cashier. He also worked in Geisinger's Accounting Department at night while at the bank for a while.
He was a member of Mahoning Presbyterian Church. His other memberships included Washies, East End, Friendship, Rescue Fire Co. He was a social member of Southside Fire Company. He was also a member of American Legion Post 40 and the Danville VFW.
Bud was a dedicated son to his parents whom he took care of until their deaths. He thoroughly enjoyed talking with people and watching TV and travel tapes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Graham Rogers officiating. Military rites to be accorded by the American Legion Post 40.
