H. Alma's Story
H. Alma Bieber, 86, of Watsontown, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where she was a medical patient.
Born March 25, 1930, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late William Martin Patterson and Maude L. (Mordan) Schick. On Feb. 2, 1952, she married Donald E. Bieber and they celebrated 52 years of marriage until his death on Jan. 15, 2005.
She was a 1949 graduate of Danville High School.
Alma was a farmer's wife helping with the family farm in Elimsport earlier in life, then relocating to their farm on River Road, Watsontown in 1973.
She was a member of Washingtonville Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Beth A. and Jeff Kelchner, of Watsontown; and two sisters, Ruth Amacher, of Danville and Alda Eichenlaub, of Muncy.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband, were two brothers, John "Bill" Schick and Donald Schick; and four sisters, Helen Miller, Alice Harrison, Mary Frye and Dorothy Covany.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Melody Sell, her pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Turbotville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to Washingtonville Lutheran Church, PO Box 181, Washingtonville, PA 17884.
