Howard George Shobert


Howard George "Buzz" Shobert, 74, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Dec. 17, 1943, in Danville, a son of the late Howard D. and Bernetta (Gearhart) Shobert.He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen L. Jones Shobert of 53 years. They were married December 19, 1964.

Howard graduated from Danville Area High School in 1961.
He was employed at the Danville State Hospital, retiring after 31 years of service.
He was of the United Methodist faith.
Howard enjoyed fishing and hunting. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kelli and Paul Ulan of Hermitage, Kimberly and Paul Pellegrino of Warner Robins, Ga., and Kristyn Escobar-Sanhueza and Sergio Sanhueza of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren, Mackenzie and Ethan Pellegrino and Erika Ulan; two brothers and sister-in-law, Dale Shobert and Donald and Ann Shobert, all of Danville; and one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Vince Klarsch of Muncy; and several nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Showers.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Howard's memory to St. Paul's-Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 417 Pine St., Danville, PA 17821.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville.
