Isabele Jean Fry, 83, of Turbotville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1932, a daughter of the late Calvin and Maude (Golder) Tanner. On Sept. 23, 1950, she married Donald H. Fry, and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage until her passing.
Isabele was a 1949 graduate of Danville High School.
Earlier in life, she worked for GE, Sunbury, and PhilcoFord, Watsontown.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville.
Isabele enjoyed country music, particularly Buck Owens. She also enjoyed attending flea markets and garage sales.
In addition to her husband, Isabele is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry D. Fry, Mooresburg; and Ricky L. Fry and his wife, Susan, Turbotville; three grandchildren, Shannon M. Frantz, Timothy D. Fry, and Stephanie Fry; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria G. Frantz; and one brother, Kenneth Tanner, Mausdale.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Bill, and Harry Tanner; and three sisters, Thelma Williams, Norma Peterman, and Maxine Maust.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, with the Rev. James R. Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, Turbotville.
