Joseph's Story

Joseph William Dougal Jr., 76, of Danville, passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born March 30, 1941, in Tower City, a son of the late Joseph William Sr. and Elsie (Brown) Dougal. On Aug. 14, 1994, he married the former Wanda A. Gary and his death breaks a marital union of 23 years.

Joe served his country as a career veteran for more than 21 years in the Air Force. He was a Master Sergeant working as a mechanic.
Joe spent a lot of his time on his computer which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also enjoyed hunting. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Michelle Wilson, of Danville, Va., Ann Michaud, of Maine, and Faith Griffeth, of Ontario, Canada; eight grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlene David, of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Fessler; and one sister, Alice Haddock.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 3 p.m., June 4, 2018, in Union Cemetery, Pillow.
