June S. Eyerly, 92, formerly of Danville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born June 25, 1925, in Atlantic City, N.J., the daughter of the late Lewis Carl and Mary Ann (Helliwell) Spalding.
On Nov. 2, 1946, she married Robert C. Eyerly M.D., and they celebrated 55 years of marriage until his death on November 16, 2001.
June graduated from Pleasantville High School, Pleasantville, N.J., and later from Jefferson University, Philadelphia as a registered nurse.
June was employed in her earlier years as a private duty nurse. She volunteered faithfully for the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, and at Abigail's Attic in Danville.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville and The Women's Auxiliary
at the Geisinger Medical Center.
Her greatest accomplishment and passion was caring for her husband and family. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
She is survived by one son, R. Michael Eyerly and his wife, Joyce, of White Bear Lake, Minn.; two daughters, Patricia E. McMahan and her husband Mark, of Kinsman, Ohio, and Deborah E. Orris and her husband David, of Selinsgrove; four granddaughters, Stephanie Eyerly Webb and her husband Stuart, of Coral Gables, Rebecca Eyerly, of New York City, Amy Orris, of Wilkes-Barre, and Sarah Orris Krajsa and her husband John, of Breinigsville; and one great-grandson, Phineaus James Webb.
Services and burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
