Mary Theresa Woll
She was born June 11, 1928, in Kelayres, a daughter of the late Mary (Lazurick) and Patrick McFadden. She married Bernard "Bernie" Woll on July 15, 1950, and they spent 56 loving years of marriage together until his passing in 2007.
She graduated from McAdoo High School in 1945 and received her nursing degree from Geisinger in 1948. She was a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps from 1945 to 1948. She worked at Geisinger Medical Center as a Registered Nurse Manager for 38 years. She touched the lives of many with her wisdom and sense of humor.
Mary was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Danville. She was an avid reader and loved to play Bingo, attending until the very end with her Bingo buddy, Jeff Jones.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bruce (Patricia) Yourechko of Kelayres; five children, Bernard Woll, Marcella and Gary Hepfer, Patrick and Julie Woll, Michael and Kathy Woll, Joseph and Loretta Woll, all of Danville; 12 grandchildren, Lauren, Madeleine, Michael, Rachel, Alyssa, Matthew, Bridgette, Mallory, Mitchell, Abbigail, Brooke, and Haley; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, John, and Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at St. Joseph Church, 68 Center St., Danville, with her pastor, the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Friends may visit at St. Huberts Chapel (located in the annex of St. Joseph Church) from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Danville.
The family will provide flowers.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mary's name to St. Joseph School, 1027 Ferry St., Danville, PA 17821.
