Paul J. Diehl Paul J. Diehl, 71, of Danville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 26, 1947, in Newark, New Jersey, a son of the late Paul Alfred and Anna (Onyshczak) Diehl.

Paul graduated from Middlesex County Vocational High School in New Jersey in 1966.

He served his country in the United States Army National Guard.

Paul was self-employed for Paul J. Diehl Construction Company for more than 40 years serving his customers with dedication and diligent work.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Danville.

Paul was very well known for his light spirit and sense of humor. He had a natural gift for designing and remodeling homes. He was famous for his "Eagle Eye" to keep things level. He had a relentless work ethic and drive for life, and spent his life serving and helping anyone in need, no matter his sacrifice. Above all, his love and devotion for his family was his greatest joy in life.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hamill Diehl. They were married Sept. 13, 1975. Also surviving are two sons, Paul M. Diehl and his wife Ashley and Brian M. Diehl and his wife Erica, both of Danville; six grandchildren, all of whom he adored, Paul, Landan, Jordyn, Layla, Brooklynn and Jackson; his sister, Maryanne Diehl of Danville; his brother, Edward F. Pisarski and his wife Tina of Glen Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Wintersteen in 1977; and his step-mother, Alice Diehl in 1994.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 68 Center St. Danville, with the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Friends will be received from 9 to 10:45 a.m. in St. Hubert's Chapel at the church.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Danville.

The family will provide flowers.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville.
