Phyllis was born March 15, 1927, in Danville, the daughter of the late Heber Morton and Viola Mae (Smith) Treas. On April 3, 1948, in Trinity Lutheran Church, she married Harry Eugene Lewis who preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2006.
Phyllis was a 1945 graduate of Danville High School. During her life after her school years, she saw and attended many reunions with her classmates. She loved attending luncheons and hosting picnics to keep up with "the girls".
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she helped out serving a number of dinners and banquets.
She is survived by three children, James (Sharon) Lewis, of Danville, Diane (Bob) Lanning, of Berwick, and Craig Lewis, of Danville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Elaine Lewis; one sister, Margaret A. and one brother-in-law, William B. Wilson.
Phyllis enjoyed frequently visiting her and Harry's home in Rehoboth Beach where they both loved eating Grotto's Pizza "lightly baked", playing cards when her cousin and husband would visit from New Jersey, visiting her niece and husband at their summer home in Avalon, solving crossword puzzles, and she very seldom missed an episode of The Golden Girls or Walker Texas Ranger.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
