Regetta Dawn Williams, 88, of Danville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at the Geisinger Home Health and Hospice at Maria Hall in Danville.
She was born at home on Jan. 26, 1929, in West Hemlock Township, Montour County, a daughter of the late Reginald and Marietta Mowery Shultz.
Regetta was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Harrisburg for 30 years from where she retired. After her retirement in 1997, she relocated back to Danville where she was employed by the Danville News and enjoyed working at Knoebel's Amusement Park in Elysburg PA.
She was a member of St. Paul's Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Danville and enjoyed attending the Danville/Tri-county After 5 Supper Parties. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Danville.
Regetta will be well known for the warmth that she extended to many people over her life. She was a spirited and fun-loving person who also enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Dale E. and Virginia Shultz, Larue O. Shultz, and Richard F. and Kathie Shultz, all of Danville; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia K. and Joseph Dill, of Bloomsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Donald Shultz; and one sister, Gloria Mottern.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 417 Pine St., Danville, with Pastor Greg Molter officiating.
Burial will be private in the Columbia Hill Cemetery, Danville, at the convenience of the family.
