Donald H. Fry, 88, of Turbotville, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Exchange, a son of the late David Z. and Mildred (Buss) Fry. On Sept. 23, 1950, he married the former I. Jean Tanner, and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage until her death last year.
Donald was drafted into the Army and proudly served for two years.
He was employed by Philco-Ford, Zenith, Danville Cabinet, and Pennsylvania House, working as a model maker and supervisor.
He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville.
Donald enjoyed hunting, and watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry D. Fry and Ricky L. and Susan Fry, all of Turbotville; three grandchildren, Stephanie Fry, of Ohio, Timothy Fry, of Danville, and Shannon Fry-Frantz and her husband Daniel Frantz, of Selinsgrove; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria Grace Frantz; and one sister, Eleanor M. Johnson, of Exchange.
In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by three brothers, Randall D. "Bud", Robert R., and George C. Fry; and a brother-in-law, Paul Johnson.
Friends and family are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc., PC, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. James R. Taylor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery, Washingtonville.
The family will provide flowers.
