Pauline E. Snyder, 79, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, after a long illness.
She was born March 24, 1937, in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Warner and Mary (Tobias) Drumm. Pauline was married to her devoted husband of 59 years who loved her dearly, Richard C. Snyder, who survives. They were married June 15, 1957.
Pauline was a 1955 graduate of Danville Area High School.
She was employed by the Danville Lumber Company after her graduation. Pauline was a dedicated homemaker for most of her life. After raising her children, she returned to work in the cafeteria for the Danville Area School District, from where she retired.
Pauline was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Danville, where she served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She enjoyed doing many crafts. The joy of Pauline's life were her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Jeff Frable, of Effort and Wendy and John Rehm, of Turbotville; three grandchildren, Heather, Katie, and John Jr.
She was preceded in death by her loving son, Gary R. Snyder. Pauline was one of four siblings.
Family and friends will be received from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 726 Columbia Hill Road, Danville, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Robert Kerchoff officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery, Danville.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in Pauline's memory may be made to Good Samaritan Mission, 327 Ferry St., Danville, PA 17821, or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home Inc., 10 W. Mahoning St., Danville.
