Constance Jane Kuziak Obituary

Constance Jane Kuziak, 79, of Danville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Danville, the daughter of the late Emma Jane (Hummer) Roeder and Horace "Butch" Roeder.

Connie graduated from Danville Area High School in 1961.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, the late Donald Kuziak of 20 years.

She operated and was the face of Pappas Restaurant in Danville for many years. Connie was an excellent cook and gladly shared some of her recipes with the regulars. She thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the customers, many of whom came in just to visit her.

Connie was an active member in the community as a member of The Geisinger Authority and The League of Women Voters. She also served several terms as Chairman of The Montour County GOP Committee.

In her earlier years, Connie enjoyed a wide array of activities including book club, gourmet club, gardening and traveling with her husband and hunting with her family. She loved watching the news and would discuss any current political issues. Throughout her life she stayed involved in politics.

Connie was a news junkie who could discuss any issue and readily share her opinion on the matter. She had a wonderful sense of humor and more than anything else she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by one son, Michael Kuziak and his wife Suzanne, of Danville; one daughter, Mary Jane Six and her husband Tyson of Millville; five grandchildren, Pete, Donald, Mary, Grace, and Lucy; and a sister, Lori McIntire of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Katie Kuziak; and one sister; Barbara Gilchrist.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in Washingtonville Lutheran Church Cemetery, 179 Strawberry Ridge Road, Danville, PA 17821, with Father Timothy Marcoe as celebrant.

The family will provide flowers.
