Danville, Pennsylvania - David Wayne Fritz, 64, of Danville, passed away following a brief and sudden illness on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

David was born in Danville at Geisinger Medical Center on July 13, 1961, a son of the late Robert and Ruth (Nungesser) Fritz.

David was a 1979 graduate of Danville High School.

David worked at TRW as a machine operator until the time of the company's closing, also at Kawneer and Textron Lycoming Engines, where he retired from last year.

David was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Danville Post 40.

David was a devoted family man. He was an excellent provider, always working hard, even if it meant taking on side jobs.

David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He cherished the fishing trips to Ontario, Canada, every year with his family and friends. David also loved going to Selinsgrove Speedway.

On Aug. 18, 2018, David married his beloved wife, Lisa (Mausteller), who survives. David and Lisa treasured their time together. They thoroughly enjoyed their cruises to Alaska and the eastern and western Caribbean.

David was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fritz; mother, Ruth (Nungesser) Fritz; first loving wife, Debra; brothers, Grant Fritz, Douglas Fritz, Denny Fritz and Gary Fritz and sister, Leann Ulrich.

David is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; son, Jeremy Fritz and his wife, Danielle, of Danville; daughters, Rebecca Zimmerman, of Bloomsburg, Amber Fritz and her husband, Ryan, of Coal Township, and Janine Shepperson and her fiancée, Ronnie Moyer, of Riverside; step-son, Tyde Strausser and his companion, Annie Carper, and Dylan Strausser and his fiancée, Natalie Rothermel; five grandchildren, Baylee, Debra, Lauren, Grayson and Bryar; one brother, Ed Fritz; one sister, Linda Francis and her husband, Randy, of Milton; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Ulrich, of Millville; sister-in-law, Kay Fritz; adoring mother-in-law, Beverly Mausteller, of Danville; and sister in law, Wendy Spurbeck and her son, Chase, of Colorado.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10-11 a.m., at Brady Funeral Home, 448 Church St., Danville. David's funeral service will begin at 11.
