Duane was a resident of Shreveport. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1970. He married his 'Honey' Mary Ann Rachal of Shreveport on June 9, 1971. He was a hard worker and provider by working for Beaird Poulan Saw Co. for 11 1/2 years, Louisiana Ammunition Plant for 11 1/2 years, and retired from Fibrebond after 25 years. He achieved two Associate Degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and one in Hydraulic Engineering. He was a faithful member and Deacon of Broadacres Baptist Church of Shreveport, where he also led Children's Church. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians since 1984 and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians since 1987. The Lord blessed us with a loving, faithful man of God, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. You could count on him to lend a helping hand and always had a trick in his pocket. It was important to him to find ways to put a smile on people's faces, and he did so with a humble heart. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin Wayne and Marie Mae of Danville, PA; siblings, Richard Hoover of Danville, PA, and Jerry Hoover of Shreveport, LA.
