Elizabeth T. (Arnoldin) Sassani, 91, of Danville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community, Danville, with her son Robert at her bedside.

She was born in Atlas on Nov. 15, 1930, the daughter of John and Henrietta (Dallavalle) Arnoldin.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School, class of 1948 and furthered her education at St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia. During her lifetime she resided in Philadelphia, Kulpmont, and Danville. She was employed as a registered nurse at Danville State Hospital, where she retired from in 1990.

On Nov. 15, 1958, she married Patrick N. Sassani in St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel. Patrick preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2001.

Earlier in her life, Elizabeth was a member of the former St. Mary's Parish, Kulpmont and most recently St. Joseph's Church, Danville. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always put the needs of her family ahead of her own.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Karen Labosky and husband John and Madeline Sassani and companion Dr. Jeffry Long; two sons, Robert Sassani and Patrick Sassani and wife Jenni; a former son-in-law, Chet Nebrotski; grandchildren, Meghan Hepler and husband Eric, Marisa Alleman and husband Wade, Rachel Cohen and husband Matt, and Abbey Nebrotski, Kara Marks and husband Josh, Alex Sassani and wife Emilee, and Andrew Sassani and companion Morgan Lennon; great-grandchildren, Huck Hepler, Will Hepler, Kian Alleman, Drake Marks, and expecting two more great-grandchildren in early 2023; sister-in-law, Sally Arnoldin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patrick N. Sassani; two brothers, Rev. Alexius Arnoldin and John Arnoldin; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, with Father Andrew Stahmer in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Viewing will be held in the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
