Vivian Lucille Oberdorf (Bib) Obituary

Vivian "Bib" Lucille Oberdorf, 86, of New Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024. Born May 1, 1938, in Danville, she was one of seven children of the late Charles and Florence (Swank) Jordan.


Vivian attended Danville High School before going to work at TRW in Danville. She went on to work several other jobs, including various positions in the food service industry. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as "Nannymom" and was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed listening to music, baking, reading, crocheting, playing cards, and an avid fan of Westerns. Above all, she lived her life by doing the right thing.


Vivian leaves behind her four children, Vicki Smith and husband Robert, Leonard "Tiger" Oberdorf and wife Diane, Tammy Oberdorf, and Heidi Mowery and husband Tim; one brother, Eugene "Butch" Jordan; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond "Moe" Jordan, William "Duck" Jordan, Glenda "Deanie" Charles, Betty "Betts" Prentiss, Audrey "Juju" Troy; and a granddaughter, Nicole "Nikki" Mowery.


Celebration of Life will be at the convenience of the family.
