Walter Hendricks Obituary

Walter Hendricks, 69, of Danville, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at home with family.


He was born July 9, 1952, in Danville, a son of the late Robert Sr. and Martha Hendricks.


He served in the US Navy.


Walter is survived by his daughter, Charity and her husband Jason Swartz; brothers, Robert Jr. and wife Candi Hendricks, John Hendricks; and sister, Marsha Bingaman; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.


He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patti Hoover.


His passions included cooking, DJing and The Beatles. He was a life member of the Danville Legion, the VFW, and the Continental Fire Company.


A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m. with military rites preceding the service.


In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the American Cancer Society.
